Catch Me If
You Can
The movie Catch Me If You Can
starred Tom Hanks as Carl Hanratty, Leonardo DiCaprio as Frank
Abagnale Jr.; and Christopher Walken as Frank Abagnale Sr.
The movie is based on the true story of
Frank Abagnale Jr. who impersonated himself as an airline pilot, a doctor and an
attorney. Abagnale passed more than 6 million dollars worth of
bogus checks throughout 26 countries before he was finally
caught.
When we first meet someone, sometimes we are distracted by the "pinstripes"
of a person, or their wardrobe. Pinstripes can take on a whole
new meaning and go beyond being a part of an attractive suit.
Pinstripes can represent someone having great intelligence and
energy ... and using both of those qualities to their advantage.
Frank Abagnale Sr. asks this question to his
son:
Frank Abagnale Sr.: Do you know why the
Yankees always win?
Frank Abagnale, Jr.: Because they've got Mantle?
Frank Abagnale Sr.: No. It's because the other team's too
busy staring at the pinstripes.
Frank Abagnale Sr. stated this address after
accepting his Rotary Club award:
"Two mice fell into a bowl of cream. The first mouse quickly
gave up and drowned. The second mouse wouldn't quit. He
struggled so hard that eventually
he churned that cream into butter and he crawled out. Gentlemen,
as of this moment, I
am that second mouse."
